The chain of the vessel CMA CGM ORFEO was replaced.
The new anchor and chain were manufactured at a factory in Holland and shipped to Algeciras. A jetty was rented to carry out the operation. The work required several technicians and a barge.

Solution
OPERATION
The new anchor was loaded on to our service barge with a large crane, along with the new chain. The barge was brought alongside the ship and the welding work to attach the new anchor to the ship was carried out. Non-destructive tests were then carried out to ascertain the quality of the connection. The ship was then able to raise the new anchor and set sail with no complications.
